Piermarco Menini was born in Venice where he started the career of photographer.
From 1987 to 1994 he has a substantial and intensive cooperation with the Peggy Guggenheim Collectionfor which he photographed artworks, architecture and artistic events.
In the 1992 he moved to Milan and began making portraits of famous people about cinema, culture and entertainment publishing them in important magazines including Vanity Fair, Amica, Glamour, Io Donna, Sette, Il Venerdì, Icon, Panorama, Max, Studio, Premiere, Madame Figaro, Photo.
He's been working for 20 years with the film magazine Ciak for which he covers the most important film festivals.
Right now he’s brand ambassador and photography coach for Huawei for the smartphone P9 and P9 Plus with Leica lenses. In 2010 he was Samsung testimonial and brand ambassador in the road show Urban Safari presenting the mirrorless NX 100.
He exhibited in the section La Fabbrica dell'Arte at the 50th Venice Art Biennale.
Between 2002 and 2018 he also was photo editor for the Venice Film Festival official daily magazine Ciak in Mostra and between 2006 and 2007 for the restyling of the periodic Il Cittadino.
